Why pay-as-you-go beats subscriptions
Other platforms lock you into monthly plans (‘Basic’, ‘Pro’, ‘Enterprise’—head-scratchers all). We think that’s backwards: educational and training content is often batch-produced, not a daily grind. With Video Distill you simply purchase credits in bulk and spend them whenever inspiration (or a deadline) strikes. That’s usually cheaper—and definitely fairer.

How to estimate your cost
The exact credit burn depends on your content: speaking speed, number of slides, how much polishing you request, etc. In practice you’ll see roughly 5 – 15 credits per minute of finished video.
Pro-tip: Combining clips into a single long video is usually cheaper than uploading lots of short fragments—each file triggers assembly and trimming steps that round up to at least one credit.
Rounding & repeats
• Costs are rounded up per step (minimum 1 credit).
• “Easy mode” and full processing may re-run certain steps automatically—for example, a second pass of AI Correction after your edits—so you’ll see those steps billed twice.
